Lee Robinson

  • Physiowise is run by Chartered and State Registered Physiotherapist, Lee Robinson
  • Lee has worked in private practice for over 15 years
  • Having qualified from Pinderfields College of Physiotherapy, Wakefield in 1987, he has been in full time private practice since 1998 after eleven years in the NHS.
  • During this 20+ year period, he has been involved in professional sport at local, national and international level
  • In that time his passion has been treatment of rugby rugby league injuries
  • He gained professional experience with Wakefield Trinity (1985-93) as well as time with junior Yorkshire and England teams, two Winfield Cup teams in the top Australian league, French rugby league, six years with Dewsbury Rams and Featherstone Rovers and more recently with Huddersfield Giants and Hull FC in Super League.
  • His Australian experiences have seen him work for a two month period in the South Sydney Sports Medicine Clinic
  • He also spent time with Balmain Tigers and South Sydney Rabbitohs rugby league teams, as well as time with the New South Wales State of Origin team, Penrith Panthers and Eastern Suburbs Roosters
  • His time here keeps him in regular contact with top Sydney based sports physicians and physiotherapists, keeping him up to date with the current concepts of sports medicine.
  • His recent experience has also seen him work with local, county and international athletes, hockey players, netball players, gymnasts, swimmers and dancers, aswell as local soccer, cricket and golf players.
  • Lee’s early physiotherapy experiences also saw him work with Reading FC, Doncaster Ladies Hockey team, England Disabled Amputee Football in team, The World Student Games in 1991 and Sandal RUFC.
  • With this experience, Lee believes the same principles used in high profile athletes should also be applied to all individuals who suffer from musculo-skeletal injury or pain.
  • Since establishing the Physiowise practice, Lee has been able to use his highly specialised skills to treat not only individual professional sportsmen and women but also to offer this unique service to all patients.
  • Lee, a local, family man, combines his time with Physiowise, as Director of the “sister” company, Healthwise, a manual handling training service company, which he established in 1998.
