Newstead Road is just off Bond Street, behind Wakefield College and Wakefield Girls High School. It is close to the St Johns area and a few minutes walk from the city centre. Note : Newstead Road is the road between the College and the dental clinics.

For those who have no satellite navigation for easy directions, the following may assist

From North

From M1
Exit 41, follow signs to Wakefield along duel carriageway.
Go straight ahead at first two roundabouts until you reach Vine Tree roundabout.
Take 3rd exit towards Wakefield (A61). Go straight on through the traffic lights.
Follow the road straight on (Bradford Road leading to Wentworth Street)
Road passes St Johns Church (on right), Clayton Hospital (on left) and Wakefield Girls High School (on right)
As the road bends to the right, take the 1st turning on the right.
This is Newstead Road. Physiowise is at the end of the road, on the right hand side

From M62
Exit 30, follow signs to Wakefield (A642)
Follow the road for 3 miles through Stanley
Follow the road up Stanley Hill. At roundabout, take 2nd exit (towards Bradford and motorways) (Pinderfields Hospital is now on left)
Continue straight over next two roundabouts, until you reach Vine Tree roundabout
Follow above directions from this area.

From South
Via city : If you are travelling from South of city (Barnsley, Doncaster etc)
Follow the A61 into the city (Kirkgate).
At the main roundabout, take 2nd exit (Wilkinsons store on left) to Marsh Way duel carriageway.
Take 2nd exit at next roundabout (still on Marsh Way).
At roundabout (Charlie Browns Garage on left), take 2nd exit (A61).
Take 1st turning on left (Wentworth Terrace).
At junction, take left turn (Bond Street).
1st turning on right; this is Newstead Road

From East
If you are traveling from Dewsbury or Huddersfield area you will be traveling in to the city on the Dewsbury Road (A638) or Horbury Road (A642
Follow the road into Westgate.
Follow Westgate into town, turning left into Back Lane, just before Westgate Station and railway bridge.
Follow Back Lane (passed Wakefield Prison) to the junction.
Turn left (still on Back Lane) into Cliff Parade.
The road bears left (Town Hall on right)
Turn right into Bell Street.
Turn left at traffic lights (Bond Street)
Take first left. This is Newstead Road

From M1
Exit 40, follow signs to Wakefield along Dewsbury Road (A638), until you reach Westgate
Then follow route above
